This is faulty logic because there are plenty of animals (lions, tigers, bears) that eat meat but don’t eat within their own species.

There are plenty of animals that don’t pay someone to murder another animal for them and buy their dismembered parts in a grocery store for $1.99 a pound, too. There are also plenty of animals that don’t stupidly say, “If we’re not supposed to eat animals, then why are they made of meat?”.

did you know Vegans get 90% of their protein by being pompous in your face know it alls about it?

that comment made me laugh lmao and animals kill their food themselves, viciously. You sweet little kitten that you own as a pet is known of being one of the most vicious killers ever, because they don’t kill quickly, they play with their food and then proceed to toss it around before eating it. I’m going to stop though because being vegan is a choice and so is not being vegan so we should just leave each other alone about it. I eat meat, you dont. Big whoop.

…The whole point of ethical vegans is someone who knows the facts. That’s not being pompous. Don’t reblog a picture with a snarky ass comment expecting not to get a response. The whole point of this sticker is a “shut the fuck up” for the omnivores who ask the question, “If we weren’t supposed to eat animals, then why are they made of meat?”. Funny how you completely missed the point. Is it not a fact that animals don’t purchase their meat? There’s the difference. Animals kill their food, yes, but they don’t pay someone to do it for them. When you see a kitten in a store, picking out which food to get by themselves, then get back at me. Kittens don’t torture their food nearly as much as humans do. Kittens don’t keep animals confined in a cage for weeks on end, where they are unable to move or make noise. Being vegan is a personal choice, yes, but eating meat is not. A personal choice only affects one thing: you. The mass slaughter of billions per year is far from a personal choice, hun. Don’t call me pompous or “holier than thou” because I am far from it. There is a difference between knowing your shit and thinking you’re all-around better than someone. What’s your excuse?

asking me what my excuse is, and claiming to be vegan simply because you are more educated than me, is what makes you a pompous ass… I KNOW WHAT GOES INTO BEEF PRODUCTION, my uncle was a meat packer back in the ‘glory days’ when it was a dangerous job, and it’s the farmers that treat the meat like that, the actual slaughter is extremely humane.  I EAT MEAT BECAUSE I CHOOSE TO… stop telling me i am uneducated and asking for an excuse about my eating habits.  you are pompous, and have an ‘in your face attitude’ and while i respect your veganism, fuck you for trying to force it on us ‘less educated folk’ because it’s our choice if we want to eat meat, not yours.

There is no such thing as a “humane” slaughter. Regardless of species.
This is 2012. You don’t need animal meats/animal products to survive.
If it’s your choice to support the industries that oppress, enslave, exploit, torture and kill other living beings just for the sake of your tastebuds, then that’s on your conscience.
But don’t you dare try to justify it.
When you consume animal meats and animal products, you’re consuming to satisfy, not to stay alive.
I mean…
If you know what goes into beef production, and you know that they’re treated this way, then why do you continue supporting it?
Compassion doesn’t just apply to human beings. It applies to “all living, sentient beings”.

do you buy gas for your car?  did you know that the oil fields treat their workers like shit and that it’s extremely dangerous, and that the profits fund wars?  do you buy teeshirts not made in your home country?  did you know you are supporting sweat shop labor and slavery?  you buy these things to satisfy your crave, not because you NEED to.
shut your bitch ass up.
HUMANE is a term meaning without pain… if an animal is instantaneously knocked unconscious and then slaughtered, it IS humane.
did you know that the animals also are NOT tortured, this would bruise the meat, making it disgusting to eat.
and who said i bought meat from factory farms?  maybe i only buy from the bison farmer that lives 20miles north of me, and maybe my chicken all comes from my uncles farm?  both places have astounding fields for grazing and walking around.
you ARE pompous, you ARE ‘in your face’, and you DON’T support my freedom of choice?  YOU support an ANIMAL, a creature who CAN NOT THINK BEYOND THAT OF SURVIVAL AND SEX, and is NOT sentient. over me? a sentient being!??  you are as bad as anyone who blatantly abuses an animal.
but for the record, i buy all of my meat from factory farms, and i enjoy eating the tasty sons of bitches.

Assuming only non-vegans DON’T buy gas for their car? Assuming only non-vegans DON’T buy teeshirts made in other countries? Don’t try to blame this on just us.
This is a very weak argument if you’re trying to prove that vegans aren’t perfect. Congratulations, we fucking know that already. Of course we’re not. But at least we’re fucking trying. We’re trying to do everything we can to fight against oppression/exploitation of any and all kinds. It exists all around us. In things we buy, in things we eat, in things we put on our face and hair.  We’re trying to live our lives causing the least amount of harm we possibly can. Why end the life of another living being when they did nothing to us?
Attaching the word humane to ANY act of extermination turns it into an oxymoron.
Why don’t you go ahead and take a look at this video, and then this one, and tell me that animals are NOT tortured, that animals are NOT sentient, that these deaths are humane. (and I mean, REALLY watch it, because if it’s too disturbing to see with your eyes, then why is it any better going in your stomach) Go ahead. Let me tell you that this is NOT an isolated incident. The beef/dairy industry could care less about your health, they just care about your… $$$. and this counts farms too, they WILL and HAVE used violence in order to get animals to do what they want. You think these animals WANT to die? You think these animals WANT us to enslave and abuse them for no reason? and even so, animals do not belong to us. I don’t care if the animals can graze and walk around. Hell, I don’t care if they get belly rubs. Their execution is planned and they will be KILLED. We have no right to cut another living being’s life short. We are not carnivores. We are not carnivores. We are not carnivores.
How would you feel if the day you were born, somebody else planned the day of your execution?
“…a creature who CAN NOT THINK BEYOND THAT OF SURVIVAL AND SEX, and is NOT sentient. over me? a sentient being!??”
This is an outright lie. Contrary to your dangerously warped belief. Creatures DO think beyond that of survival and sex. All animals ARE sentient beings. They feel pain. They feel suffering. Human beings are not the only ones who fucking matter. Jesus Christ…hell, theoretically if all of humanity died out tomorrow, not only would the world continue to exist, but it would (in time) prosper.
You’re trying to brandish veganism as people who only think about animal rights, and completely disregard their own fellow humans. This is just crazy. True, we do fight for the liberty, and happiness of other creatures, because frankly, people like you don’t give a shit. You “just enjoy eating the tasty sons of bitches.” but
of course we also care about the rights of every living being, human beings included. Stop trying to deflect the attention away from your own habits and transfer the guilt you may harbor onto vegans.
Of course we can spend time helping people AND animals. I don’t understand how people can state it’s a one choice decision.
Little fact:
With the billions of grains/soyproducts/plants it takes to feed all the animals (to fatten up and murder), those can go to actual people starving in other countries to feed. Millions in Africa, India, Asia, etc  would be fed.
If we were to abstain from the needless killing of animals for profit, it would not only be beneficial to the animals’ lives, but humans as well.

Veganism is morally/ethically/environmentally/healthily the best/most effective thing we, as humans, can do. Meat eating is not.
We shun actions that inflict pain on animate life, animal or human, either intentionally or thoughtlessly.
We seek to avoid unneeded destruction of plant life and exploitation of the environment in ways that endanger local/global ecosystems.
do the right thing,
go vegan.
